Criteria
ZWZ Participants pledge to meet the following criteria in a series of phases:
CLEAN RECYCLABLE GREASE:Spent grease must be collected for the production of bio-fuel by a company that meets the ZWZ Bio-Fuel Standards.
COMMON RECYCLABLES:
Cardboard, paper, glass, plastic and metals (common recyclables) must be collected for recycling.
FOOD RESIDUALS:
Excess food in compliance with federal, state and/or local Good Samaritan Food Donation act legislation must be donated to feed the hungry.
Food residuals, from preparation and service, and excess food not compliant with Good Samaritan Food Donation legislation must be collected for composting at a state permitted facility.

- Submit Pledge Completion form for the appropriate Phases

- For Common Recyclables (plastic, metal, glass, paper, cardboard) and Food Residuals going to landfills, identify the internal source and implement collection procedures in place from previous phases
- For Other Recyclables (batteries, light bulbs, construction & demolition items to name a few), contact the ZWZ Team to learn about local recycling options available.
- For remaining Trash items, identify the source and provide the ZWZ Team an inventory of these items on the Phase V Completion Form.
